Enjoy crisp mornings in this unique reclaimed silo. These silos are featured in the TV show Restoration Road. Originally saved from destruction in the Dakotas, these have been turned into unique homes situated at the base of the Greycliff for which the town was named. Enjoy watching the buffalo with their newborn calves roam the fields while relaxing in the hot tub or making memories in the beautiful Montana countryside!
The space
This silo is has two levels. The lower level is the living room, with a sofa bed and half bathroom. There is also a little underground “Fox Den” that children can enjoy. The upper level is a bedroom and kitchenette with a full bathroom. This is a completely restored, but rustic silo. And it does not have all the technological advantages that a modern homes with drywall, etc. may have. So while it is very clean, there are sometimes a few flies, etc., that may find a way to share the accommodations. The driveway to this silo is pretty steep. It's recommended that you have an AWD vehicle, especially if it's during a season that we might have snow. We do our best to keep the driveway plowed, but it still can be difficult to get up the hill without an AWD vehicle. It is totally possible to park at the bottom and walk up. If this is an issue for you, please reach out before you book. If the Northern Lights come out during your stay, you can enjoy them outside or while lying in bed.
Guest access
You will have full access of the entire silo. The fire pit, back yard and hot tub are shared with the Eagle’s Nest silo. Many times it works out where you have it all to yourself, but it is a shared space. We are happy to help coordinate with the guest in the Eagle’s Nest, if need be.
Other details
Please note that if you are visiting Montana between the end of September and the beginning of May, our weather can be periodically somewhat less than ideal… The cabin is on a gravel road that will be plowed after large snow events, but during the winter all wheel drive will be needed sometimes. Also, the driveway up to this silo is steep, so it’s recommended to have a AWD vehicle, or you might need to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up, especially when there is snow. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out for more details.

Great spot. Lots of enjoyable things to do between visiting with the animals, exploring the property, grilling, and enjoying the hot tub. The house was very clean and super comfortable. We loved our stay!

The work put into the Fox Den and the Greycliff Mill is incredible. Grounds are so beautiful and it was fun to watch the bison. Very unique stay but really enjoyed it. Bed was super comfortable and they have thought of everything down to s'mores.

A truly wonderful experience. Apart from the silo being an entirely unique accommodation, the mill and surrounding buildings are as surprising as they are beautiful. The mill 'village' provides authentic representations of culinary and artisanal delight, each housed in sensitively restored or reused buildings that are conscious of their surroundings. Whether or not the owners see themselves as stewards of local culture I don't know but the property clearly is a way to showcase that and is doing it very well indeed. Bravo guys. Looking forward to returning!

Staying in The Fox Den at Greycliff Mill was such a lovely experience! Jennifer was so accommodating and helpful. The place was beautiful, clean, and very relaxing. Loved being able to walk down and get breakfast and coffee in the morning. And our kids loved staying in a silo! They have done a wonderful job with the place and I would highly recommend it.

Our four year old daughter loved to discover the swings, corn crib, market store with candy, animals and the hot tub. We enjoyed the hot tub, hike up the cliff side and coffee/yummy breakfast at the mill. Perfect stop after a long day of travel to unwind and relax before we made our way closer to YNP.

This silo was super unique, beautiful and cool. The design of the silo to the views from the hot tub to the great food and coffee at the restored Mill. Little shops, creamery, cheese cave and more to explore on the same property, as well as a trail to the top of the cliff. Jennifer went out of her way to leave rose trails and rose hearts on the bed wishing my wife and I a happy anniversary, and was super fast to respond. If you're reading this I highly recommending this experience it's more than just a place to sleep.

This is our second time staying in one of Jennifer's AirBnBs. She assisted me with choosing the right AirBnB at Greycliff Mill to accommodate my husband, daughter, son-in-law and grandson. Jennifer takes great care in ensuring her AirBnBs are immaculate, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The beds are absolutely wonderful to sleep in, bath towels are fluffy and absorbent and her small snack selection is a great touch. She has always been east to communicate with and responds quickly. We plan to stay again vert soon!

Jenn was amazing, quick to respond, willing to accommodate and help in any way possible. My wife and i stayed here one night for our 9th anniversary and Jennifer went above and beyond to make the night special. I can't thank her enough. Location is amazing, peaceful and quiet. Bison and cow roaming out the window is a awesome plus. Hot tub under the stars, mountain back drop, can't beat it. Cafe/coffee shop is so cute. Small menu, but delicious. Burger truck onsite as well. Will absolutely stay here again. Thanks for everything Jen.

Absolutely worth stopping at before heading to Yellowstone! Our kids were asleep when we arrived and were beyond excited when they woke up. Before getting ready for the day we enjoyed the surprise of bison, cows, a horse and other fun features along a walkable path right out front. The tunnel was an obvious hit with the kids, but we also loved the caring little details inside that made it feel like home. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

This is such a fun place to stop! I would like to come back and take the hike that another guest recommended back on the Greycliff. All of the shops the mill has to offer were great! My sister and I especially loved the cheese cellar, the green house and the leather shop. The Fox Den was such a comfortable, cute, cozy space. The giant windows are incredible. We were able to enjoy the hot tub and the fire pit as well. 10/10 would recommend!

One of a kind stay in a converted silo. Beautifully finished. Sunset views and starry skies can be enjoyed from the upstairs bedroom. The fox den was a huge hit with the kids. Highly recommend a stop over if you're in the region.

We had always wanted to stay in a converted grain storage bin. The unit was very nicely converted. Two stories. 2 bathrooms! Was fun to wake up in the morning and see the Bison running around. Jenny was super responsive. Check in was easy. We had dinner at the Mill which was also very well done. We are local to the area and was a great date night for us. Highly Recommend.

This place was awesome. It had everything you could have possibly needed and every single detail into the silos was thought out. Check in was easy and simple and the place was easy to find. We were able to see the northern lights and that was amazing. More air bbs should take after how this place is ran. 10/10 l would recommend it to anyone! Hopefully I'll get to stay again someday!

The Silo is adorable with very nice decorations - I loved all the fox pictures and figurines!. The surroundings are quite beautiful- it was wonderful to look out the windows and see the cows, horses, buffalo - and especially the water, pond and blue sky. Everything was clean and tidy, with special little amenities. I would highly recommend this place to stay for a special adventure that's extremely peaceful.

This property is beautiful. I saw it first on the show Restoration Road. There is plenty to do on the grounds but first you'll have to pull yourself away from the Fox Den Silo. Everything that you could possibly need is supplied for you by Jenny. I mean everything! I've stayed in more Airbnb's than I can count. This is one of the cleanest most well stocked I've been in. Watch Restoration Road then make your way to Greycliff Mill. You won't regret it!
