Take a break from the hustle and bustle of life at this restored historic log cabin. Perfect for a date night, anniversary outing, girls night out or family vacation. Enjoy the Montana sunrise over the Yellowstone Valley. And don't miss saying hello to the buffalo, living in the paddock just down the hill from the cabin.
The space
This is a one-room area with a full bathroom including a shower and Jacuzzi tub. There is a ladder that will take you to a little loft where there are two twin mattresses. The loft over looks the room that has two chairs and a king-size bed. Adults can sleep in the loft, but it would lend itself more to children. 😊 This is a completely restored, but rustic log cabin. And it does not have all the technological advantages that a modern homes with drywall, etc. may have. So while it is very clean, there are sometimes a few flies, etc., that may find a way to share the accommodations. If you are booking this during a season that we might have snow, it's recommended that you have an AWD vehicle. We do our best to keep the driveway plowed, but it still can be difficult to get to the cabin without an AWD vehicle at times. If this is an issue for you, please reach out before you book. If the Northern Lights come out during your stay, you can enjoy them outside or while lying in bed.
Guest access
This cabin is a duplex, that has its own entrance and is completely separate from the other unit, but they do share a wall. So we ask that people be considerate of their neighbors and keep the noise down, as we hope your neighbors will do for you.
Other details
Please note that if you are visiting Montana between the end of September and the beginning of May, our weather can be periodically somewhat less than ideal… The cabin is on a gravel road that will be plowed after large snow events, but during the winter all wheel drive or better will be needed sometimes. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out for more details.
Interaction with guests
Cell service in Montana can sometimes not be the most reliable, if you have trouble, feel free to check in at the Gristmill and they will be able to get you in touch with me.

This is a wonderful cabin in a beautiful place. Jennifer was a great host. She was very kind and accommodating when we needed to change plans last minute and she helped us when we got locked out. Very responsive. And she decorated with rose petals because it was our honeymoon. It was very thoughtful and we really appreciated it.

Stayed with a pet Serene location very conveniently off of the highway. Appointed just as described and in the accurate photos. I was there for just one night while passing through. The loft is delightful while steep and not for the faint of heart but worth the climb! Cabins are close to one another which would make for a lovely group stay but note this if you're seeking a significant level of privacy. There is also some discernible noise from the highway though not loud & the trains passing through were lovely. Overall a fun stay!

Stayed one night the bed is comfortable, the bathroom well-stocked, the views great, and is on the same property as the Greycliff Mill so there is plenty to do in the morning. host was very responsive, polite and friendly, and provided detailed and easy to follow instructions on both how to get to and how to get into the cabin.

So cute, so thoughtful, so well done! Loved all the extra touches! The bed is super comfy, loved taking a bath! Adorable tub! We didn't get the curtains positioned just right so the sun gave a us a beautiful early wake up!! I sleep with ear plugs, but the hubs woke for every train crossing ... I could feel a little tremble. So just FYl on that! We weren't able to stay for activities today but want to come back!!

We had a wonderful stay at Jenny's Airbnb! They were so responsive to all our needs and allowed us to check in a little early. We enjoyed the dinner at the Mill that evening which we highly recommend. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed an evening walk after dinner. The place was spotless and exactly as pictured. Thank you!

Stayed with a pet It was a snowy cold night. The cabin was warm and cozy and waiting for us. The hosts were on it, plowing the road, making it easy to get to the cabin. Jenny was amazing, checking in and ensuring that we had the best stay. It was so beautiful and perfect on a snowy night. Thank you!

If you are interested in experiencing the last bit of southern Montana that are true to their roots, do yourself a favor and book this stay. The property is only 10 minutes down the road from big timber and it gives you a very authentic feel. The property has been constructed and taken care of exceptionally well.

What a great little place surrounded by a beautiful community full of awesome folks! Had a meal and coffee a few times at the impressive grist mill (GreyCliff Mill) got to meet & make new friends. Nearby is the cheese cave, wool & leather shoppe. A little farther is a great bakery in Big Timber, the Boulder river & natural Bridge along with the Crazy Mtns. Go see em! Thank you again for a wonderful stay :)

Everything was absolutely perfect. Jenny is super sweet and helpful. The Bear Cabin was so cute, cozy, clean and peaceful. From the warm furnishings to the super relaxing tub, we were able to rest and relax. The cafe was so yummy, everything local and handmade. All of the ladies at the cafe were so kind and friendly. The market is full of yummy organic, local, handmade goods. The wool and leather stores were a must shop. The garden center was large and provides the market and cafe with healthy, local produce. There is a great trail on the Greycliff's where you can see for miles. The Bison, lambs and pigs were so cute and fun to share the weekend with. Very friendly calico kitty greets you by the volleyball court. Lastly, we attended the monthly farm to table dinner and it did not disappoint. Everything was so flavorful, fresh and delicious. We can't wait to return again! Thank you Jenny and everyone for making the weekend so special for us.

Was a fantastic stay. Cozy and cute cabin right near downtown big timber. Coffee shop was great on the property and was provided everything we needed to make. A small fire outside the cabin. Only improvement was more table space as very little room for working remote. Otherwise host was extremely responsive and helped make things perfect.

This location is the perfect spot to stay in between travels. Open spaces and a petting zoo! The GreyCliff mill has always been a quality stop worth our time. This time the stay was over three days and was the perfect place to regroup. Coffee in the morning at the mill was perfect.

Our stay at the Bear Creek Cabin was perfect! The cabin was cozy-great communication with the host, impeccably clean, the bed slept very comfortably, a nice sitting area with beautiful view, and we loved the warm floors from the radiant heating! Being a minute's drive from the Greycliff Mill was great! It is a wonderful place to visit....lunch and latte at the Mill were delicious, taking a stroll through the beautifully landscaped property was a favorite, visiting the new Market, Fiber Crafts shop, Cheese Cave, Leather shop...all of that is just a minute away from the cabin!
